
DILI, August 5, 2026 — In a major step toward enhancing technical and vocational education in Timor-Leste, the Don Bosco TVET Timor-Leste Foundation has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Australia’s Alana Kaye College (AKC).
The agreement was officially signed by Br. Adriano Maria de Jesus, SDB, Executive Director of Don Bosco TVET Timor-Leste, and Mr. David Thomson, International Operations Officer of Alana Kaye College, Northern Territory, Australia.
Key Objectives of the Partnership:

Australian Accredited Qualifications: Bringing recognized Australian vocational qualifications directly to students in Timor-Leste.
- Capacity Building: Enhancing the professional skills and capabilities of local trainers and assessors across Don Bosco campuses.
- Sustainable Educational Models: Collaborating on long-term planning to ensure sustainable, high-quality training delivery.
- Workforce Readiness: Boosting graduate employability by aligning vocational training with international industry standards.
